Golden Globe Awards er en amerikansk prisutdeling hvor det deles ut priser innen både film og TV.
Golden Globe-nominasjonene er kunngjort, og norske Morten Tyldum fikk hele fem nominasjoner for sin film The Imitation Game, som har norgespremiere 25. desember.
The Imitation Game er nominert i kategoriene beste film, beste filmmusikk, beste mannlige skuespiller (Benedict Cumberbatch) og beste kvinnelige birolle (Keira Knightley).
Morten Tyldum debuterte som spillefilmregissør med Buddy (2003), og har siden regissert blant annet Varg Veum – falne engler (2008), før han i 2011 bemerket seg både nasjonalt og internasjonalt med Hodejegerne.
Oppmerksomheten ga ham mulighet til internasjonale prosjekter og han valgte jobben som regissør for The Imitation Game. Benedict Cumberbatch, velkjent for sin rolle som Sherlock Holmes i TV-serien Sherlock, spiller hovedrollen i denne historiske filmen som finner sted under andre verdenskrig.
Amerikanske Richard Linklaters film Boyhood fikk også fem nominasjoner, hvorav fire stykker er i samme klasse som The Imitation Game, mens den amerikanske filmen Birdman sikret seg hele sju nominasjoner.
Også svenske Ruben Östlunds film Turisten, blant annet med norske Kristoffer Hivju på rollelisten, fikk en Golden Globe-nominasjon. Östlunds film er nominert i klassen for beste utenlandske film.
The Imitation Game har tidligere vunnet flere priser rundt omkring på internasjonale filmfestivaler, og nå spekuleres det stadig mer om hvor vidt Tyldum kan forvente seg en eller flere Oscar-nominasjoner.
Nå blir det i alle fall spennende å se hvordan resultatet blir under Golden Globe-prisutdelingen 11. januar 2015.
