De to nye receiverne fra Yamaha gjør 8K-drømmen virkelig.
RX-V4A og RX-V6A har hhv. 5.1 og 7.2. omgivelseslyd. De lanseres i Norge i slutten av september 2020.
De norske prisene blir hhv. 5.490 og 7490 kroner inkl. mva. (Veiledende.)
Senere skal det angivelig også komme en inngangsmodell kalt RX-V2A og en RX-V8A (toppmodell.) RX-V8A skal ifølge Yamaha lanseres i januar 2021.
Yamaha har redesignet disse med det de beskriver som «moderne design», og det er vi enig i. Det ser griselekkert ut.
Den japanske elektronikkgiganten hevder forsterkerne har flere HDMI 2.1-innganger enn noen andre på markedet og det er 100 prosent korrekt. Snodig nok er det alle fire på RX-V4A og tre (av i alt sju) på RX-V6A som har HDMI 2.1.
Begge modellene støtter Yamahas MusicCast, samt Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, multi-room-lyd og stemmekontroll med Alexa, Google og Siri. Man kan bruke MusicCast Surround, som gjør det mulig med trådløse MusicCast-høyttalere.
Det er støtte for Dolby Vision, HDR10+, samt DTS-X og Dolby Atmos og Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization.
